Magnetic Tapes consists of an extruded plastic impregnated with Barium Ferrite glued to a stainless steel tape using a special type of glue. This stainless steel tape provides the rigidity to the magnetic tape. The special glue makes sure that the thermal expansion coefficient of the glued tape is same as stainless steel tape.
This tape is then magnetised by a fully automatic State of the art Magnetizer machine which gives a very good accurate Magnetic tape encoder, incremental as well as absolute system.
